TL1 · PROFESSIONAL GRAND TOUR
Professional learning through internships in Italy
TL1 helps young people put their training into practice in Italian workplaces. An international work placement brings classroom knowledge into contact with tasks, colleagues and the expectations of a working team.
We plan with schools, vocational education and training providers and sending organisations, keeping participants’ learning objectives at the centre of the experience.

From training to practical tasks
A placement starts with what participants have studied and what they need to develop. Their background, existing skills and language knowledge help us identify a relevant professional setting.
Within the host company, participants learn through the tasks agreed for their placement, observation and contact with colleagues. The activities should connect with their training and suit their level of experience.
Learning in local COMPANIES
Our host-company network includes small and medium-sized businesses in manufacturing, restaurants, hotels and other professional sectors. These workplaces offer different ways to understand how a team organises its work and delivers a product or service.
Company matching depends on the project requirements and host-company availability. Specific tasks and arrangements are discussed during planning.
Developing workplace skills
Professional learning includes communication, teamwork, punctuality and attention to instructions, alongside skills related to a particular role.
Participants practise asking for clarification, responding to feedback and understanding how their tasks contribute to the wider team. Working in a different country can also help them reconsider familiar ways of doing things.
Recognising progress
Contact between participants, the workplace tutor, our team and the sending organisation helps keep the experience connected to its learning objectives.
Discussions during the stay and feedback at the end help participants identify skills they have practised, areas to develop and professional interests they may want to explore further.
Professional sectors and host-company matching
Our existing placement network covers Brescia and its province, with opportunities also in Bergamo and Trento. Further sectors can be discussed on request. A sector listed here does not guarantee a specific placement: we agree the match according to participants’ training, language skills, learning goals and company availability.
