Our programmes connect participants with the companies, people and communities of the places where they stay. An internship becomes a way to discover how local skills, traditions and working practices shape everyday life.
Through the people who live and work here, participants gain a closer understanding of Italy and the relationship between a workplace and its surroundings.
Meet the people behind local businesses
A host company is part of a wider community. Colleagues bring their experience, skills and knowledge of the area into their work, whether they are making a product, preparing food or welcoming guests.
Working alongside them helps participants explore how professional roles connect with local needs and traditions. Everyday conversations can reveal details that a short visit would miss.
Become familiar with the community
Taking local transport, visiting neighbourhood shops and spending time in shared spaces helps participants understand the daily rhythms of the place where they are staying.
These encounters provide opportunities to practise communication, observe different habits and build confidence in unfamiliar surroundings. Local support helps participants find their bearings as they settle in.
Discover the area through culture and everyday life
Brescia, Lake Garda, Bergamo and Trento offer different settings for discovering the relationship between landscape, communities and working life. The destination and activities are discussed as part of each programme.

Getting to know a place through its people encourages participants to compare perspectives and question assumptions. They can reflect on similarities and differences between life in Italy and their own communities.
