Internship programmes in Italy
Travel & Learn works with schools, vocational education and training providers and sending organisations to organise internships in Italy for young people aged 16–23.
Through Erasmus+ and other international training and mobility pathways, we bring together work placements and the services agreed for the stay, starting from your participants and their learning objectives.
Start with your participants and learning goals
We begin by discussing participants’ training background, ages, skills, language knowledge and learning objectives, alongside preferred dates, duration and group size.
These details guide the professional fields and practical arrangements we explore with you. Share any needs that may affect the placement or stay, so they can be considered during planning.
Find a suitable professional setting
We identify potential host companies in relation to the group’s training and the requirements of the project. Our network includes local SMEs in manufacturing, catering, hospitality and other sectors.
Placements are arranged according to company availability and the agreed learning goals. We discuss the setting and proposed activities with the sending organisation as the programme takes shape.
Bring the placement and the stay together
The programme can combine the work placement with accommodation, tutoring, a cultural programme and local practical support. The services needed are agreed with each sending organisation.
Planning considers the group’s ages, destination and daily routines, including travel to the workplace. This helps connect the educational aims with the practical experience of living abroad.
Support learning from arrival to the final meeting
A welcome session and accompaniment to the host company on the first working day help participants understand their new environment. Our team remains a point of contact throughout the stay.
Contact with the sending organisation and workplace tutor supports discussion of progress and any difficulties. A final meeting, including feedback at the host company, helps participants reflect on their learning.
Working with sending organisations
Alongside Erasmus+, our experience includes ALMA and Juventus. Access needs and support requirements are discussed with the sending organisation so that the arrangements described above can be adapted to the participants.
Our experience includes participants with fewer opportunities, with reinforced mentorship and personalised support agreed for their needs.
Tell us about your internship project
Send us your preferred dates, duration, participant numbers and ages, professional fields and learning goals. If you are enquiring as a participant, let us know whether you are applying through a school or sending organisation.
